ASSEMBLIES OF CONVERGENCE FOR ACTION OF THE WORLD SOCIAL FORUM 2016
26 Assemblies of convergence for action are organized during the World Social Forum 2016. Their goal is to rally largely organizations around actions. These assemblies of convergence allow to present, amend, precise and complete initiatives (campaigns, boycotts, petitions, calls, mobilizations…).
You can as of today, propose initiatives online (https://fsm2016.org/en/participer/initiatives/).
The assemblies of convergence aim to broaden the coalitions of civil society that work in related fields and wish to act together to build a better world. They are an important step to build or reinforce an international network of actors of change. These assemblies are organized during three days, the 10-11-12 August, from 4pm to 6pm.
The assemblies are open to all the participants and may lead to the drafting of a report detailing the actions initiatives promoted within it. All the inititatives discussed during the assemblies will be presented to the participants of the World Social Forum, during the Agora of initiatives for another world, August 13th 2016 at Jarry Park. The objective is to reinforce the link between the initiatives and citizen engagement in shared action plans. For more details : https://fsm2016.org/en/programmation/
