The extension dynamic : a different way to live the WSF experience. With the help of communication tools that will be available on the World Social Territory , participants who will be in Montreal will be able to discuss and make people, groups and organizations from around the world contribute to the WSF.

BEING PART OF TELECONFERENCE CALLS AND WSF CAFE IN THE WSF TELECENTER
It will be possible to book a slot in the telecenter and invite people who are with you in Montreal to contact people from around the world to talk with them through the audio / video platform Skype. Same thing if you are outside Montreal, you will be able to give appointment to the participants that you know on Skype.
The Telecenter will be open from 9 to 12 August from 9am to 18pm on the 8th floor of the Cégep du Vieux Montreal and from 19pm to 23pm at the Monument National. Check the Telecenter program
Great meeting moment in perspective between participants in the same WSF process, beyond distances, visa barriers and cultural socio-economic, political, differences, etc. To program “on the fly” teleconferences with people from your country or region: come and meet us!
CHAT ROOMS OF THE MONTREAL ACTIVITIES
The WSF 2016 Montreal program contains a host of activities in parallel. You cannot be everywhere! Hundreds of activities have opened a chat room where notes, pictures or video are shared. Join those before, during and after the event, browse the messages and photos and… take the floor!

HELP “ENLARGE” A MONTREAL ACTIVITY ON THE WEB
The WSF 2016 program offers 200 activities in parallel with 6 time slots . 10 , 11, 12 and 13 August , hundreds of events will open a chat room where circulate texts , photos or videos. Some activity organizers are looking for help to connect with other people on the web
While you are attending the activity, you can take the role of “linking-person” on Skype: send notes and photos in a chat room already prepared, take questions from remote participants present therein, or make a video streaming as “camera-person”.
AFTER AUGUST 14th ?
Participate via Internet to the 2016 WSF activities far away from your home. Keep interacting on the WFS’ website with other participants and groups.
Set as ‘‘WSF2016 activities enlarged on Internet’’ workshops and public meetings hosted by your organization ‘‘at home’’ which you can open and enlarge to distance-participation and gain an international dimension.
And why not becoming a volunteer of the Extension Process in your own country?!

ORGANIZE TELECONFERENCES WITH GROUPS COMING TO MEET YOU IN MONTREAL WSF TELECENTER
During the WSF, you can book a 2 hours time slot in telecentre and invite those present in Montreal that you know or have contacted to bring other people and talk with you in audio / video chat Skype in 7 rooms.
The telecentre operates from 9th to 12th August on the 8th floor of the Cégep du Vieux Montreal 9am to 6pm and at Monument National from 7pm to 11pm.

PARTICIPATE REMOTELY THROUGH INTERNET IN ACTIVITIES HELD IN MONTREAL EVENT

Join them before, during and after the time of the activity in the event. Browse messages and photos and video links and …. Intervene. Meet on line organizers and other participants interested by the same topic as you.
PROPOSE A ” WSF INTERNET CAFE ” IN YOUR CITY
The WSF 2016 Montreal event program offers 200 activities in parallel with 6 time slots on 10, 11, 12 august plus the 13th agora.
Hundreds of activities have opened a chat room where it’s possible to share text, pictures or video.
Install a local group in a venue with corners .smaller rooms ( the cafe) This group invites and welcomes participants to the cafe and explains how to navigate the WSF website forum, and come in the chat rooms . Participants are helped to navigate and participate where they want
the cafe is also a way for making persons participating in the WSF process in the same city to get together.
