Towards new international binding rules against business abuses of people’s rights

Convergence assembly
Aug 11 2016  13:00 - 15:30

Within the framework of the United Nations, States have started to discuss and negotiate new binding rules that should help people and civil society groups to respond to the growing power and abuses of business actors. The WSF 2016 is a vital forum to share information on where we stand in this process and join forces to bring our demands for real accountability of States and private actors for the social and environmental damages that they are causing forward.
