Talk 4 Change – economic empowerment from within

Discussion workshop
Aug 10 2016  13:00 - 15:30

Be part of a pilot where conversations between members of underserved communities connect with innovators throughout the world in developing open source solutions that give them the means to create economic empowerment from within.

This workshop will connect participants with the people of Bergnek – Limpopo, South Africa – in the communication of projects and needs that exist in their community. The idea is to initiate a flow of questions that will evolve into the development and funding of project proposals between community members and participants alike.

The projects will be funded by crowdsourcing the voice of the people, and by attracting investments through the I3 Cooperative. More on this at the event ! Ten minute documentary about the coop coming soon, which will be shared at the event.

What are the questions we need to ask so we can better understand cultures and environments different from our own ? Doing so will enable us to be of greatest service to our own dreams for how we can impact, as well as people and planet as a whole.

Hope to see you there !

NOTE : We will soon be accepting nominations for the 13 Investment Coop Board Founding Directors : Michel Bauwens, Caroline Smalley, Warren TeBrugge, Eric Howe. To stay informed, please create a login at http://thecitizensmedia.com/
